1) Drunk driver smashed into one of the cars parked on my street and totalled the side not facing the street. That's some pretty impressive (and scary) drunk driving skills.
2) Mother-Daughter duo at yardsale: Mom (mid to late 30s): missing entire top front row of teeth and wearing a black shirt that reads "If you think I'm a bitch, you should meet my daughter." Daugher: 18-19 years old, 6 months pregnant, wearing sweats with "JUICY" on the ass and t-shirt that reads "If you think I'm a bitch, you should meet my mom."
My friend Hannah gets all the credit for taking this picture on her
lunch hour. We noticed it driving home after dinner &
drinks at Cafe de Thai. I'd just told her about my experience of not
being able to get into the Daily Show while I was in NYC last month and
how the other people in the standby line all decided to go over to the
Colbert Report. This was about a week after his speech skewering Bush,
so I was like "Oh yeah, sure it's going to be easier for you to get in
there." Right after telling her about that, we turn the corner and
there it is - Colbert and Patriot! Being that Nevada is a Red State,
maybe that's why nobody else has stolen it yet. Even more awesome - right after she took this picture, my request for tickets to the Colbert Report came through! I am so taking a copy of this photo with me to New York.
