Consumption

Another benefit of the new job, I seem to have more free mental energy to actually able to focus on a book and read it all the way through. Last Saturday I finished A Drowned Maiden's Hair, which was kind of appropriate after going to the Comstock History Center's exhibit on death back in the old timey days (though they totally cheated by not addressing undertaking!). Right now I'm reading Soon I Will Be Invincible, which I suspect would be more entertaining if I hadn't found Watchmen to be as painful a school reading assignment as Silas Marner (actually I think I liked SM more than Watchmen). I also knocked off two other items from my to read list: Jesus Land and Enrique's Journey. At this rate, I'm going to run out of things to read because some of these are items I've been saying that I was going to read for at least 6 months!
